BLRC Tyro (Run by ELRC)
An invitation from Breckland Land Rover Club to join them in a weekend of trailing at their Horsford site, near Norwich. The Tyro is being set and run by Ralph & Sue Coulson of ELRC and will start at 2pm (After the CCV). It is expected to go on until around 6pm which should allow all those who have travelled for the day to get home in daylight.
The Horsford site is a good venue which many ELRC Members have visited previously. There is camping on site, (subject to a fee) and there will also be light refreshments from the Boston Travelling Tea Party. You will need to book on the BLRC website and details will be added here once the event is opened for entries. Other events are being held over the weekend - CCV on Saturday, RTV on Sunday and a Timed CCV Trial on Bank Holiday Monday. Let's go and show them what Essex members can do...

Classic Car Run
A Classic Road Run for all Land Rovers pre-2000.
We will be starting in the Chelmsford area at 10am and heading north, winding our way through 30 or so miles of Essex back lanes. The pace will be deliberately slow and enjoyable. Suitable for everything from Series Ones to Classic Range Rovers, up to Defenders.
There is no cost for this event, but we are planning to head to a museum with a great display of vintage and classic vehicles. Facilities, food and the museum will be available. There is an entry fee for the museum, but parking is free. Plenty of space to park together and display our Land Rovers.
You will then be free to make your own way home afterwards, or form your own groups to explore the area a little more.
Full details will be sent just before the event, to those who sign up. Please book in early so that numbers can be ascertained.

Supporting Farleigh Hospice with their Cycle for Life event; a cycle ride around Essex raising vital funds for the hospice. We will be supporting with marshaling and transport for equipment and participants. Please let Steve know your availability if you can assist.

Stonham Barns Land Rover Show
This annual event at Stonham Barns in Suffolk behgan just a couple of years ago and is now firmly on the calendar. Club members have been in attendance each year as the show has grown.
We will be helping out Suffolk Land Rover Owners Club, along with Breckland Land Rover Club, to run and assist in the static display and riding area.
Camping is available on the Saturday night, with the show on the Sunday

Christmas Pud Shakedown
The annual shakedown. A chance to get out of the house over the festive holiday. Drive your Land Rover around the site and enjoy a social event. Marshals will be in attendance in case you get stuck.
There will also be some Tyro sections set for those wanting to try their hand at trialling for the first time. Driving (accompanied by an experienced trailer), is open to those aged 13 or over and also non-licensed drivers.
Guests of Members are welcome. Everyone driving will need an RS Clubman license, available for free from MSUK.
There will also be a raffle in aid of the Club's Charity - the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
