It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of long time club member, Ian Walker.
He was one of those people that was “always around” at events. He was a regular attendee at the pub meets, from when they were first set up at The Hare a couple of decades ago, right up to the last ones at the Writtle S&SC. He was a regular visitor to trials in recent years, sometimes marshalling, but latterly just visiting to see what was going on and chat to members.
His funeral is to be held at Maldon Fields Crematorium, 12:30pm on Friday 3rd July. Club members are welcome to attend. There is also a planned procession of Land Rovers starting at 11:45am from Walden House Farm, Walden House Road, Great Totham CM9 8PN.
Ian was also often to be seen with his Dad in the early Red 110 Land Rover. If anyone has one similar it would be great to see it as part of the procession.
