CCV Inter Club Competition – Postponed to November

Site name: Sudbury

Tyro, RTV and CCV all on Saturday 5th December, meeting opens at 10.30 and the competition starts at Midday for the day light section and re starts circa 3.30 – 4pm for the night time driving part and finishes circa 7.30pm

Setting out for the trial is on Saturday 5th December starting at 8.30am, so if you want to come along and help, please arrive early. Guidance to all is provided…

How the event runs – same rules as any trial with a later start time and we will run a number of sections in the daylight and take a short break for refreshment until it gets dark and run a number of sections (with no changes) in the dark which adds a completely different driving dimension

Each vehicle can have two extra driving lights at the front and the top of these must be below the top of the bulk head / bottom of the windscreen. LED lights are okay, but not light bars that use multiple lights, which are deemed not in the spirit of the event. The additional lights can only be switched on when on the start line, so not to blind everyone!

Additional rear facing reversing lights are at the driver’s choice, however these cannot be on when competing on a section, unless taking a shunt.

Club Scrutineer Vacancy

We have a vacancy for the role of Club Scrutineer

Are you able to help us out at trials. Do you have a reasonable mechanical knowledge of Land Rovers and understand the trialling regulations. If the answer is no but you would like to give the role a try, don’t worry, there will be plenty of help and advice to get you going. Just get in touch with Mark and he will let you know what is required. There is no liability with this role as you are purely there to check vehicles are eligible and safety components function (brakes, seat belts etc.) The onus is always on the driver to present the vehicle in a safe and compliant condition.

We may look to get two scrutineers one for Tyro and RTV and one for CCV.
