The first of a new type of event was held on Sunday 12th August. A group of club members met at The Hare for a Classic Road Run.
A good day was had by all visiting some local attractions including Priors Hall Barn at Widdington. Read all about it in the next edition of Exploits.
At the AGM there were a number of changes to Membership categories and more.
All of these changes will be detailed in the next issue of Exploits, the Club Magazine.
Mike Rowland was awarded the annual award for Outstanding Contribution at the AGM but wasn’t able to be there to collect it.
Rover Rescue and Charity Support co-ordinator Nigel Wood presented the award at the recent Race for Life event at Epping.
Nigel thanked Mike for all his hard work on call out during the winter snow and his support of the Race for Life events.
Before and after the business of the AGM members found time to chat, buy raffle tickets and to look over the club clothing available to purchase on the day.
After the Fish and Chip supper the Trophy Presentations and Drawing of the Raffle proved very absorbing. The SID trophy nominations were as always very entertaining and met with some lighthearted heckling.
Its was good to see members with interests across the different sections of the club coming together for the evening.
The Easter Event has been featured in words and pictures in the June 2018 edition of LRO.
Russ Brown the Club Zone journalist attended our event and has featured the club in a two page spread. The pictures give a definite flavour of the event and the complimentary words show what a friendly weekend we had.
