Classic Road Run – Sunday 19th November 2023

Once again this year we will have a road run to the Christmas Shop at Tillingham.

Run by ELRC Members Penny and Richard Garwood, we will be welcomed and able to park together. There will be hot drinks available, along with toilet facilities for our group. It is a great chance to get some Christmas decorations and gifts. This is our third year visiting the Christmas Shop, and those who came on the previous runs had a great time selecting Christmas decorations, live Christmas Trees and all the other festive essentials to make the Holiday Season a success.

We will start from Chelmsford, (Notification of starting point will be sent to attendees just before the event). Start time will be 10:00am, so please get to the meeting point just before this.

We expect to have a slow drive through the Essex country lanes and arrive at the Christmas Shop around 12 noon. After your visit you will be free to make your own way home.

All you need to attend is a Classic Land Rover. What makes a classic is open to interpretation of course! We expect the majority of vehicles to be pre-2000 registered. We don't expect to see any fresh from the showroom vehicles on this run.

There will be a "Leader" to follow, (Ralph & Sue in their 28 year old Defender - Bosun's Mate), and, depending on numbers, a "Tail end Charlie" to make sure everyone arrives in one group. The pace will be gentle, so Series Ones and older vehicles will be able to keep up.
