Family Vehicles/ Gymkhana

There are no horses involved in this event in spite of the name: these trials are usually arranged at a Camping/Caravanning weekend as a fun activity for all the family.

The events are a series of driving tests on rough ground including such things as reversing into ”garages”, driving with a glass of water on the bonnet, putting the nearside front wheel over a series of markers on the ground.

Sometimes the event end with the Maltese Cross :- This is a “box” of four canes with the idea being of entering and leaving the box from the same place and making a loop of each cane against the clock, not as easy as it seems and competitors often having the knack of getting “lost”.
